12 Gifts That Money Can’t Buy
Dec 23, 2025
While I don’t personally celebrate the holidays, giving and receiving gifts is one of my favorite things. Who doesn’t love a thoughtful gift that actually means something?
A lot of people say, “I already have everything.” That usually means they’re covered on stuff—but not always on soul-level needs. So what do you give the person who has “everything”? Or the you who’s tired of wrapping things that don’t really matter?
Here are 12 of the best gifts money can’t buy but are absolutely priceless—for yourself or someone you love.
- Gift of time
Show up on purpose. Put your phone down, look someone in the eye, and be fully there. Presence is one of the most powerful ways to say, “You matter.”
- Gift of freedom
Release something that’s been holding you hostage—an expectation, a role, a fear—or give someone else the grace to be who they truly are. Freedom is a gift that keeps giving in every direction.
- Gift of done
That lingering task that drains you every time you think about it? Finish it. “Done” feels like peace wrapped in progress and tied with a bow called relief.
- Gift of joy
Joy isn’t waiting for perfect circumstances; it’s choosing delight in the middle of real life. Let yourself laugh, smile, and actually enjoy the moment you’re in.
- Gift of health & loving your body
Treat your body like the miracle it is, not a project to be constantly fixed. Nourish it, move it, rest it, and speak life over it instead of criticism.
- Gift of shalom
Shalom is more than peace; it’s wholeness—nothing missing, nothing broken. Invite God into your mind, your calendar, your relationships, and let Him restore what hustle can’t touch.
- Gift of purpose
Purpose wakes you up before the alarm and keeps you going when motivation leaves the chat. Ask God why you’re here in this season, and start walking in that on purpose.
- Gift of love
Give love that is patient, kind, and not performance-based. Love that doesn’t keep score but keeps showing up looks a lot like the heart of God.
- Gift of discipline
Discipline is not punishment; it is protection. It’s the daily structure that guards your calling and helps you become who you were always meant to be.
- Gift of fun + achievement
You are allowed to have goals and have fun at the same time. Celebrate small wins, play, laugh, and let joy be part of your progress, not a reward you postpone.
- Gift of John 15
Abide. Stay connected to the True Vine, Jesus, and let fruit grow from relationship, not striving. When you remain in Him, lasting fruit is the natural result, not the forced outcome.[1][2]
- Gift back to Yah
Every good gift comes from Him, so giving your time, talents, plans, and praise back to Yah is the most fitting response. Your life becomes an offering, not just your calendar or your wallet.
Bonus gifts
- Gift of learning – Stay curious, keep growing, and let God expand your thinking in this season.
- Gift of forgiveness – Release the debt—yours and others—and step into the freedom only forgiveness can bring.
- Gift of being you – Show up as the person God actually created, not the filtered, edited, people-pleasing version.
We often pack our lives with things that fade, break, or go out of style. The gifts above don’t need receipts, upgrades, or storage bins—they shape who you are becoming.
This season, choose to fill your life with the gifts money can’t buy but will last a lifetime.
